Island Park Demolition of Existing, Substantially Damaged Structure
Those of us affected by Hurricane Sandy know the term “substantially damaged structure” all too well. It means a home that has sustained more than 50% of its actual value, not including the land, forcing the homeowner to either lift the home or completely demolish it. NY Architect, Gaby Tchilinguirian, RA was commissioned to redesign this home that was found to be substantially damaged by the flood waters of Hurricane Sandy located in Island Park New York. The homeowners chose to demolish their existing home and replace with new construction. No lifting will be done on this home. Pictures of the project as is progresses will be added as soon as they are available.
